The Cutting Edge opened its doors in May 1998 in downtown
Milton. The salon is owned and operated by Susan Kret. Since
that time, The Cutting Edge has established a reputation for
being one of Milton’s premier hair salons. In fact, the salon
has won first place in the category of Favourite Hair Salon
for the “Milton's Choice Award” for
2002 and 2003. The Cutting Edge is totally committed to the
interest and well being of its many clients and strives to
provide a relaxing and enjoyable environment. In keeping with
this philosophy, The Cutting Edge underwent a new and exciting
transformation in the fall of 2003. This renovation included a
whole new color scheme and stylish contemporary furnishings to
add to the client’s experience. In this environment where
client comfort reigns supreme, we will strive to discover your
needs with a passion for every detail.

customize the current trends and styles to suit your every

Susan Kret,
Salon Owner & Hair Stylist
Susan is a seasoned professional with many years of hair
styling experience in keeping with the latest hair trends.
Her formal training was completed at New
York’s Tony & Guy Academy. She is also a JAG (Joico
Artistic Guild) representative and has completed numerous
courses in hair colour. Susan strives to meet the needs
and wants of each and every one of her clients. Susan
has recently returned from her maternity leave to work on
Thursdays! Plan ahead and book soon…as her appointments
fill up quick!

Rachel Hetherington, Hair Stylist & Colorist
Rachel has successfully completed her apprenticeship
program, and is looking forward to giving you that great hair
cut!! Rachel completed her training at the Toni and Guy
Advanced Academy in New York City this February, where she
learned many new techniques. She is always updating her skills
and learning more by going to different cutting and coloring
classes. Some of the many classes Rachel has attended are:

Aja Keith,
Hair Stylist & Colorist
For as long as she can remember, being a hair stylist was
always a dream for Aja. She completed her apprenticeship under
Sue just over 5 years ago, and has been hair dressing for 6 ½
years now. Aja strives to offer the newest and latest trends
to her clients. Aja is looking forward to welcoming new
clients as well as continuing to dazzle her existing clients.

Katie Kane, Licensed Hair Stylist and Colourist
Katie completed her apprenticeship in September and is now
a licensed stylist! She will be more than happy to help you
with any of your hair needs! Katie returned from her trip to
New York, in May where she trained at the Toni and Guy
Advanced Academy of Hair Design. Katie loves attending all
types of educational classes, and has a passion for the newest

Jessica McKee, Hair Stylist & Colorist
We would like to welcome back Jessica form her 6 months
away in Saskatchewan. Jessica has finished her 4 year
apprenticeship and is now a fully licensed hair stylist. She
is very happy to be home at The Cutting Edge, and is looking
forward to seeing some old faces and welcomes news ones as
